Gnomes, not Knobs

   In every office, there is at least one person who believes the entire world revolves around him or her and everyone else is there to serve. If he says, "Jump!", the correct answer is, "How high?"

   Being a gnome, however, I have great difficulty with this. For one thing, my legs are just too short. Secondly, the whole concept is foreign. In the gnome world, every gnome is equal to another; there are leaders, but they cannot and do not lead autocratically. For this reason, gnomes have never started any wars or led any revolutions.

   Perhaps I ought to remind the office "king" that life would be ever so much kinder and gentler if he just followed the gnome rules...
